Battery Replacement

Watch batteries, done while you wait.

Water-resistant seals included. Walk-ins welcome at Valley West Mall in West Des Moines.

Quick and honest

The fastest, most common repair we do.

Most batteries take just a few minutes. We check the seal, replace the gasket if your watch is water-resistant, and test the new battery before you leave the counter.

If your watch is doing something more than a dead battery — a hand that won't set, moisture under the crystal, a crown that won't wind — we'll tell you what we see and what your options are before you decide. There's no charge for looking, and there's never pressure to authorize more than you came in for.

Batteries are stocked in every common size, including the harder-to-find ones for older Seikos, Citizens, and vintage quartz pieces. Bring it in and we'll test the movement, replace the cell, reset the case back, and check that everything runs cleanly. If the movement itself is drawing current the way it shouldn't, we'll show you the reading and explain what a repair would look like — but you won't leave with a repair you didn't ask for.

Water resistance

If your watch is water-resistant, we'll replace the gasket and pressure-check the seal — the right way to keep water out.

Before you come in

A few small things that speed the visit up.

If your watch has been dead for a while, that's fine — we test regardless. If you have the original box or paperwork with the battery type, bring it, though it isn't required. If the case is unusual — a screw-down back, a monocoque case, or a smart-hybrid — we handle it. There's no watch we routinely turn away for a battery.

Walk-ins during shop hours are always welcome. If we're mid-repair on another piece, you may wait a few minutes, but a fresh battery rarely keeps a customer at the counter long.
